Martin Broomfield

was born in the United Kingdom. He has lived in the UK, Canada, Kenya, Vietnam, Indonesia, Tanzania, Côte d'Ivoire, Algeria and presently in Geneva, Switzerland. He became a Canadian citizen in 2006. Martin originally trained as a Graphic Designer in the business-to-business Audio Visual communication field in the UK. He ran his own graphic design and photographic business for ten years in London.

In the early 1990s, Martin moved into the development field, working on a Youth Training Programme in Kenya, funded by VSO, DFID and the EU. In 1994 he relocated to Toronto, Canada, where he worked as an Art Director for Design Vision, a 3D animation company. In 1997 Martin moved to Hanoi, Vietnam where he worked in the development field, on projects involving Photography, Graphic Design for print, Videography and Video Editing and Web Site production. Clients included: The World Bank, CARE, Save the Children US, Swedish SIDA, The European Union, UNFPA, UNDP, UNICEF, UNEP, FAO, ACIAR Australia. He has also worked on Commercial projects, including clients such as: Sustainable Jakarta (Panoramic images), British Airways, Herman Miller, ICI, Phillips, Coca Cola, Horatio Creations, Chez Mlain and The GAP. Martin Broomfield is well versed in all aspects of Multimedia and Audio Visual Communications and can produce projects from the ground up, including Creative Direction, Production Design, Photography, Video Photography and Editing, Layout of Documents and Website design and management.
