Built in 1964 the Sofitel Hotel Ivoire, Abidjan was commissioned by President Félix Houphouët-Boigny. The architect was Moshe Mayer. It is still considered one of the most luxurious hotels in West Africa.

Situated in the Cocody district of Abidjan, the hotel has 426 rooms and suits, with views across Ebrié lagoon.
